Hi there and welcome back. So yesterday we talked about what if you had everything you needed to be happy in life? you know, And, it really is important because, you know, sometimes we, we sit there and we think to ourselves, you know, you really unhappy, you hate everything around you. You, you’ve got no path moving forward. You don’t know how to, you know, change your life and you can’t see the wood for the trees, you know? And happiness really is a choice. And, it really is a lifestyle. you know, as we go through these videos, I’ll tell you more and more about my story, but you know, we all have bad days.
We all have days where we just don’t want to get out of bed. you know, we feel like the world is crashing in. But if you jump straight outta bed and you still see the world as a challenge, and that’s what it is, it is just a challenge, then you can overcome any obstacle That you want to. Yeah. But as we go through all the videos and you connect all the dots together, it will start to make a little bit more sense for you. But today we were gonna talk about Why Society, Has Changed, and how we need to adapt to it. So, you know, we’re all educated in a very similar way.
you know, we have a curriculum and we all have to follow it as we go through school. And, you know, part of what happened years and years ago, especially when I was brought up, it’s not like so much nowadays, but you know, we were in boys schools separated from the girls And. it was very small village mentality. you know, your whole family lived in the same area and, and all the conversations were geared around, you know, the same teachers over all those years passing on their thoughts, their education. So what you had was pockets of people within villages with, you know, attitudes about certain things, because that’s the way that they were educated to think.
you know, there was no mixed race schools then. you know, life was completely different. You weren’t able to jump on a plane and go anywhere you wanted to, you know? So very much years and years ago, education, we, we were stuck in a pocket. We were stuck in a pocket about what people thought within that particular location and that village. But nowadays, it’s so worldly that we can go anywhere. We can jump on a plane, we can do anything. We can meet anybody.
Indians, you know Africans. We can go around the world and truly enjoy ourselves in life. But what a lot of people don’t see until they move onto that area, and a lot of people still do live in the same area, have done all the lives. You know, you don’t see the will for what it is. You don’t see people for who they are. you know, the color of someone’s skin doesn’t matter. you know, where they were brought up, what religion they believe in. It doesn’t matter. What matters is whether they’re a good person, what they contribute to the world, how they offer value to the world, how they treat people, how they contribute to your life.
you know? And when you see the world as a beautiful place, the min, the minority of people that cause all the hassle, cause all the damage, do all the bad things. They are the very minority of people. But we tend to brush people with the same brush. Does that make sense? Where, you know, we treat the mass number of people the same as we would the ones that are doing wrong. And I have to give you an example. You know, when I was, I think 50 and a half or something, I joined the junior Army. you know, we’d be up really, really early in the morning.
We’d have to do loads of chores and stuff. We’d have to run for miles and miles. But if just one person within that group did something wrong, everybody got punished for it. Everybody got punished for it. And that was the old fashioned way of doing things. you know, punishment. If you didn’t do well, Punisher, you know, give you a slap on the bomb, give you the cane, give you a stick across your bomb, whatever it was. That was the method of controlling people and their behavior. But we live in a grownup world now where we live in a place where we can talk and we can talk openly, and we can talk about things that are deep in value, deep in nature, you know?
So we don’t need those sorts of things anymore. The internet is available for anybody. you know, we can be educated on anything, whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing. And times have changed. But education is not really picked up. And now you need to be more worldly. You have to understand that there’s value all around us. you know, there’s millions of places we can go, millions of things that we can do. we can get university courses, we can get college degrees, we can do anything online nowadays.
So education is so much different than the way that it used to be, especially when I was younger. you know, my kids nowadays, they’re great, they’re really intelligent, but give ’em a screwdriver and they haven’t got a clue. you know, bot tires have changed. And over the past 20 years, technology has taken off and we need to embrace that, you know? But the way we’re educated sometimes can limit our thoughts. It can limit our beliefs, And, it can limit our ability to move forward in life because we have an opinion about something.
And that opinion could have been passed down to us from our parents, you know? And then as we become parents, we take some of those limiting beliefs and we give it to our kids as well. But you don’t have to join the groups of everyone that is a yes sayer. You don’t have to do That. you can be a person who is individual with your own thoughts, with your own opinion, and your own values in life. you know, you don’t have to be a sheep that joins everyone else. So when you see different people talk to them, different races, different colors, you know, they have so much to bring, so much enjoyment.
And if I give you another example, I went to India one year on holiday. It was absolutely beautiful. Got to know all the locals. They took us back to their house. you know, it was very much two roomed house. And the wife of cooked as a chicken curry, absolutely beautiful. We had all the bones in it, and not into bones much. But then they gave us like bottles of Coca-Cola,
Speaker 1 (5m 57s): Which was really expensive for them. And then we said to them, you know, what do you do in the evening? There was no televisions, there was no phones, there was nothing for them to occupy themselves. And we, and they said, you know, we sit on the beach and we talk, we talk to each other and we talk about life, you know, and they have nothing. But their values were so big in regards to, you know, family talking to each other, communicating with each other, understanding each other, you know, getting on with each other, having food together. It was just unbelievable.
And when you travel to different places in the world, you will meet all these beautiful people. You will see that, you know, those different cultures have got something to educate you with. So all you need to do is just open your mind and stop limiting beliefs. You don’t have to think something is bad or something is rubbish, or you don’t like this, or you don’t like that. Because that’s just been brought on through education, through repeated things that people have said over time. And you don’t need that in your life. What you want to do is be open-minded, free and see everyone as being a beautiful person.
If they’re not, tell ’em to do one. Yeah. But generally, most people are beautiful when you talk to them. So open your mind to that one guys. Yeah, education is really important. And the way we’re brought up, you know, if you’ve fundamentally been told all the time you are useless or you can’t do anything, don’t listen to people like that. you know, if you think That, you are great at something, go and get educated. Go and find the people that are good at something and get out there and enjoy life. See places. Yeah. So that’s the end of today’s conversation.
Now tomorrow we’re gonna talk about why you should always believe in yourself no matter what happens. Again, they’re all really important topics, guys. So, I, hope you’re enjoying the videos. If you are, then leave a comment below or feel free to share, you know, but in the meantime, you guys take it easy and I’ll catch up with you very soon. Take care. Bye.
